  • July 7 - Danny Bischoff: Point of View: Bring your characters to life with nuanced perspectives and opinions.

  • July 8 - Stefan Schick Live in the Poem-ment: Have fun improvising rhymes and different poem forms.  Perfect for anyone interested in musical improv, poetry, or just…words.

  • July 14 - Rory Scholl: No One Left Behind: Even the waiter, the Uber driver or the barista have a story, so let's follow it!

  • July 15 - Stefanie Lindeman: Everyone’s a Character: Explore how to create and fully embody engaging characters right from the start of your scenes.

  • July 21 -Rory Scholl: Guess What?: Play games where one or more people are completely in the dark, and have to guess what the scene is about through clues from their team!

  • July 22 - Tracey Gordon & Melinda Taylor : Musical Improv 7-9pm: Another Opening, Another Show! Performers will learn the structure of an opening number and how to capture the audience’s attention immediately with memorable lyrics, choreography, and stage pictures.

  • July 28 - Nicole Pascaretta: Your Physical Life: This one hour workshop will connect you to your physical self and surroundings by working on object work and your personal physicality.

  • July 29 - Stefan Schick: Menagerie a toi (Animal Improv!): Explore the gift (and dander) of improvising as animals.

  • August 4 - Mandy Schmieder: Laser Focus: Are you truly in the moment or just playing at it? Let's test our ability to stay in the moment with some exercises that practice true and full attention to your partner.

  • August 5 - David Bell: Ghost Story Night: Every game and exercise we do will form part of a larger story … told by ghosts in Green-Wood Cemetery. Say yes-and to a fully improvised spooky tale!

  • August 11- Danny Bischoff: Status Workshop: Learn how to improvise like a boss or a subservient underling. Stop playing the same middle-of-the-road character and learn to play high- or low-status characters, or anything in between.

  • August 12 - Tracey Gordon & Melinda Taylor : Musical Improv 7-9pm: Dynamic Duo Trios: Performers will practice scenes that will lead into the duo trio song structure. This workshop will highlight characters that work best for the duo trio, as well as how to optimize the song.

Tuesdays 7:00-8:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of Forest Hills, 70-35 112th St. Queens, NY

  • August 18 - Stefanie Lindeman: Don’t Overthink It: Games to help you get out of your head and into the action.

  • August 25 - Tracey Gordon: Murder Mystery: This class takes inspiration from murder mystery parties to create a full show. Performers will create memorable characters, establish relationships and build thematic storylines. Will the murderer be discovered by the end of the class? Yes, yes that’s part of it!

  • September 1 - David Bell: Silly Monkey Hour: One of the simplest paths to fun on stage is “monkey see, monkey do,” meaning repetition. Learn how to discover and heighten fun repetitive patterns in your scene work.

  • September 8 - Stefanie Lindeman: Where to Begin: Taking the Stress Out of Initiations: Starting an improv scene doesn't have to be scary! In this workshop, we'll discover how  much -- or how little -- of an idea you really need to get a scene rolling, and explore creative ways to initiate.
